Who is Serena Deeb?
Serena Deeb went from WWE Performance Center Coach to signing with All Elite Wrestling, to NWA Woman’s World Champion in a span of less than five months. For NWA fans, the question has kept being asked., “Who is Serena Deeb?”

Without so much as a proper introduction, Serena Deeb shocked the world when she became the National Wrestling Alliance’s Woman’s Champion by defeating Thunder Rosa on the October 27th edition of Primetime Live. Which begs the question, who is Serena Deeb?
Prior to signing with All Elite Wrestling Serena Deeb had become one of the trainers at the WWE Performance Center. She was initially invited to be apart of the Mae Young Classic in 2017, wrestling her last match for the WWE losing to Piper Niven after the second round. The reigning NWA World Woman’s Champion had previously competed in the WWE in 2010 as part of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society.
Serena Deeb was a product of Ohio Valley Wrestling (when it was a part of the WWE farm system). She held their championship six times. In between her time at Shimmer, Impact, all other Indies; Deeb held the IWCA Catch Ladies Championship, which was called the NWA France Woman’s Championship.
Originally Deeb was supposed to face Allysin Kay on her PTL debut, but it was paused because of an off chance encounter with someone who was exposed to Covid-19 which forced Serena to self quarantine, and miss her debut. In that same week she signed with AEW and had her first match against Thunder Rosa, which recieved a lot of acclaim for both women.
Deeb successfully defended the NWA Champion on AEW Dynamite #57 against Leyla Hirsch, which was technically filmed the weekend before he match with Rosa. Finally the match between Deeb and Kay will happen this Saturday at AEW’s Full Gear: Buy In.
