Update on Karl Anderson to New Japan

As reported by Strong Style Spirit, Karl Anderson is going to be competing in the New Japan Cup. Anderson will be replacing the injured Nagata and facing Koji Kanemoto in the first round. Kanemoto who once competed at Tiger Mask III, is a very accomplished wrestler and had made a name for himself in New Japan’s Jr. Division, and is currently the AWF Tag Team Champion with Choi Tesan, which I believe to be a Korean Wrestling promotion. Anderson recently lost the NWA World Tag Team Titles but held the titles for 7 months.

Anderson will have a tough match a head of him and in replacing Yuji Nagata has some huge shoes to fill. However, as more or less the Dark Horse of the Tournament, Anderson could surprise many people. Good luck Machine Gun!
