Thunder Rosa to defend NWA Championship at AEW
NWA World Woman’s Champion Thunder Rosa defends the Burke against Ivelisse on AEW’s Dynamite Next Week. This is a bit of a rematch from two years ago from #LadiesNightOut4 when Ivelisse defeated Thunder Rosa.

Coming off the heels of her AEW Pay Per View Appear, Thunder Rosa is heading back to Dynamite, this time to defend the Burke, it what would be the first NWA Championship defended in All Elite Wrestling. Thunder Rosa’s opponent will be against Ivelisse.
Ivelisse is still the reigning three-time Shine Champion and has held the title for nearly a year. Like Rosa, Ivelisse is a former Lucha Underground Trios Champion having held the title with Son of Havoc and Angelico. Most recently she has teamed most recently with Diamante and have victories over Dasha and Rachael Ellering, the Nightmare Sisters (Allie & Brandi Rhodes), and Anna Jay & Tay Conti. Ivelisse got her start wrestling for WWC. The Puerto Rican native would compete in WWC until she jumped ship in 2006 to IWA Puerto Rico. In 2011, Ivelisse would get signed to WWE’s Developmental promotion Florida Championship Wrestling, She made a few appearances for NXT before appearing in TNA as part of Aces and Eights. But really broke through as a member of the Lucha Underground Roster.
For the NWA Champion, her performance thus far in AEW has captured the attention of the AEW fan base. With many referring to her match with Hikaru Shida as the “Thunder Rosa Match.” Her next appearance on AEW will be her third title defenses scheduled for this month. However before she gets to Dynamite she squares off against Kimber Lee for Warrior Wrestling this Saturday in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Although the title isn’t on the line, Lee is the current Shimmer Champion and there is certainly some clout to be earned for both competitors as a victory for either may help push them to the upper echelon of Woman’s Wrestling. Later this month the champion will step into the ring against “American Kaiju” Lindsay Snow at Hell Hath No Fury. Then she’s scheduled to be at the United Wrestling Network Primetime Live, just four days later on September 22nd.
