It was the shove that rocked the wrestling industry. Moments after competing at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, WWE Superstar Natalya spotted the current NWA Women’s Champion. Paige had taken umbrage at a rude gesture that the WWE Talent had used in the ring. As Natalya celebrated her victory, a chance encounter with Paige led to an altercation. Paige used the same gesture on Natalya, which caused the pair to lunge at each other. Security quickly de-escalated the issue, and the two were separated very quickly. Many are predicting that this match could lead to Natalya facing off against Kenzie Paige for the Burke at the 2025 Crockett Cup.

For 603 days, Kenzie Paige has sat a top of the NWA Women’s Division, having defeated Kamille to become Champion. For the last 128 days, she’s been a double champion teaming with Big Mama. She was the first Television Champion of the new era, defeating Max the Impaler in the Tournament Finals. She won the Burke Invitational at NWA 75. And had previously held the World Women’s Tag Team Titles, with Ella Envy, by defeating Allysin Kay and Marti Belle to become champion. No other woman in the NWA has had the accolades that Ms Paige has.

Thursday Night, Natalya had a statement bout with Miyu Yamashita. It was the first time in twenty years that Natalya stepped outside of the WWE for a match. She is a former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, a WWE Divas Champion, and a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. But she seems to be sending a statement to the front office of both the WWE and the NWA. She has made her intentions clear that she is coming to the NWA to become a champion.
