The official NWA Report from the MWR Promotions – A look at NWA Dynamo Pro August 10th. #2
Brian Kelley here once again with a ton of exciting news from the NWA right here in the Midwest. The NWA will be featured with two shows that showcase some of the very best that the wrestling world has to offer today.
This Friday night NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling, comes at you straight at you from the Sports Academy in Glen Carbon, Illinois.
We start off with the NWA Missouri Champion KC Karrington. Karrington was once part of the popular tag team the Ego Express with Steven Kennedy has seen a transformation of sorts in the “Indy Jesus”.
While the fans have not been thrilled with Karrington turning his back on them, one can’t deny the success that he has found as he formed the First Church of Karrington with partner Steven Kennedy, powerhouse Dice, Adam Rich and manager Gregory Jovi.
During the vacated NWA Missouri title tournament he manipulated the tournament on June 10, 2011 with outside interference from his congregation in each match before defeating Dan Walsh in the finals to become the NWA Missouri Champion.
Meanwhile his disciples Adam Rich and Dice met The Electric Unicorns (Billy McNeil & Jamie Lyte) in the tournament to crown the first ever NWA Dynamo Tag Team Champions. The speed of McNeil and Lyte would frustrate Rich and Dice with one big move after another. The monster Dice could not take it anymore and lost his cool, using a chair in front of the ref, thus causing the ref to call for a DQ victory for The Electric Unicorns.
The loss did not set well for KC Karrington who felt that the belts belonged rightfully to his congregation. Due to their inability to win the belts, Karrington set in place to steal the tag title belts after delivering a beat down to the Bumrush Brothers, OutKast and Shorty Biggs just moments after they had won them in the finals of the tournament after defeating the young upstart team of McNeil and Lyte.
It has been over a year that Karrington has had the NWA Dynamo office in disarray and turmoil. On Friday August 10th that the veteran Japanese star Makaze will be able to knock Karrington off his self-appointed throne while taking his beloved NWA Missouri Championship belt from around his waist.
Makaze is led by the beloved Magic Man who is also a legend in Japan and most recently seen at Dragon Gate USA.
MWR found that it very interesting that during the talkNWA Podcast #47 right here on Alliance Wrestling .com the NWA Dynamo edition that the “Mid-Atlantic Bad-Ass” Damien Wayne was one of the first men to call in to the show with Dynamo representative TNT Keny G. While Wayne issued a challenge to the NWA MO Championship is easily understood with the prestige of the title, one has to ask themselves “why now do we hear from Wayne?”
We received some words from within the Midwest that feel that the Dynamo office had set in play Wayne to rattle the cages of Karrington and having to be concerned that of the former NWA North American Champions Wayne’s debut here in the Midwest.
While that could be a story for another day, Karrington should not take the challenge of Makaze lightly or else he could find himself at the back of the pew watching the new champ take on either Trent Stone or Dan Walsh in the next NWA Dynamo show.
In a co-main event it will be former Harley Race student and former WLW Champion Trent Stone taking on the reality TV superstar Dan Walsh in a number one contender match.
Stone reminds us of current WWE developmental star Brandon Traven (Brian Breaker) who combines a powerhouse body with the pedigree of the 8-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Harley Race wrestling background. Walsh will have to avoid the vicious spear from Stone throughout the match if he hopes to survive and win this match.
This match has tension and hard feelings as Stone teamed with Walsh along with the Bumrush Brothers in a grudge match against the first Church of Karrington team featuring Karrington, Rich, Dice, and Kennedy. The fans were ecstatic as it looked as if the First Church of Karrington was about to get their just due only to see Stone spear his partner Walsh for no reason thus stealing the joy from the crowd and giving the Bumrush Brothers some retribution to the thievery of Karrington.
To date, our attempts to contact Stone on comments regarding his decision to spear Walsh has been ignored.
Was it to help Karrington and become a member of the congregation or did he do it for himself.
That’s not all as NWA Dynamo will feature many of the top stars in the Midwest at this huge show including Ricky Cruz, a man who has a pin fall victory over current NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce.
