The Alliance Report

The inaugural Alliance Report will be my efforts to pen a weekly update of what is happening in the National Wrestling Alliance.  Obviously I’ll need your help if you want to ensure your promotion is adequately getting coverage.  However here is some of the news and notes from the NWA.  Please share this with as many NWA fans you know.  This week, Pro Wrestling Revolution announces a New Trainer joining the team, congrats to the North American Champion, and updates on talkNWA’s latest guest.  Plus this week’s wrestling schedule.

Robert Thompson has joined the  Revolution Training Staff
Inspired by former NWA Tag Team DOOM (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed). By the 1995 he was having matches with much success and was noticed by many, including, the World Wrestling Federation.  Thompson was a regular for TV Tapings, even having a one on one match against then NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Dan “The Beast” Severn. If you want to be a pro wrestler and live near Northern California, make sure you contact Pro Wrestling Revolution for training.

One Year as North American Champion
Congrats to Shaun Tempers for reaching the milestone of being NWA North American Champion for over a year. With over 25 defenses, from Tennessee, West Virgina, Alabama, Georgia and upcoming matches in Kentucky it seems that the “Temptation” is on a role.

talkNWA with Jerry Lynn
This weeks TalkNWA will be the New F’n Show Jerry Lynn.  Jerry stated he is heading into retirement at the end of 2012.  Jerry has held countless titles but some of the most notable have been the TNA X-Division, NWA Tag Team, WWE Light Heavyweight, the Ring of Honor World Championship, and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship.  Lynn’s work ethic and ability speaks volumes about the caliber athlete he is.  We’ll be talking to Mr. JL about his time working with so many National Promotions, his thoughts on the current direction of wrestling, and his reign as  World Champion of ROH and ECW.  We’ll also be asking Lynn about his up-coming match with Damien Wayne who is currently the NWA DAWG Heavyweight Champion.
