Thank you, Uncle Percy!

Guest Column by Jay Stone

_MG_5171I know that so many people have written so much on Percy, and I have, too, but I am in a writing mood. I don’t care if people read this or if they do not. Politics, hatred, and bs aside…this letter is meant for me to say my final goodbyes (at least written) to someone I considered a truest of true friends. Percy Pringle and I first met at CWF Hollywood many years back and even though I was a green horn, he treated me with so much respect, that I felt like one of the boys. I started to see him more frequently being as lucky as I was to work with the WCWC in Oregon and I forged a friendship with him. He became like a mentor and someone that always had the right advice for me. When I went through some very serious personal issues, it was Uncle Percy would helped me get through it. He always had a positive word or Bible verse. And even though, it wasn’t from the same religion, it was the thought that counted. He took time out of his day to talk to me. He always kept me company at CWF and made an effort to talk to me. To me, Percy was more than just another one of the boys. Percy made a profound impact not only on my career but my life. When I told him that I had wanted to try for WWE, he gave me loads of great advice and even allowed me to use him as a reference. That was one of the biggest honors of my entire life. I grew to love this man like a mentor, a friend, and like a father figure.

TO YOU DIRECTLY PERCY,

Thank you for all the great talks, the hilarious stories, the love, the friendship and for being there for me when I needed someone. I will never forget you, you will always be in my heart and I deeply and truly thank you and love you for all that you did to me. OH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Rest In Peace, my friend.
