As part of the Road to the G1 Supercard, the state of Texas was home to Ring of Honor this past week. The highlight of the three shows were the Tag Wars Tournament. 12 teams battled in first round matches in Houston and Dallas with the semi finals and finals taking place in San Antonio. The winner of the tournament would be invited to take part in the Crockett Cup 2019.

The last Tag Wars Tournament took play in 2016 when the Beer City Cruiser and Silas Young defeated the Briscoes and the tag team of Kenny King and Rhett Titus. This year’s tournament consisted of twelve tag teams competing in first round matches on Nights 1 and 2 in Dallas and Houston Texas, respectively.

Upon the conclusion of the Ring of Honor Tag Wars Brody King and PCO (Villains Enterprise) would be the victorious duo. King and PCO won the three-day tournament by defeating The Kingdom in the first round and the team of Kenny King and MVP in the finals to earn a spot in the Crockett Cup as well as a match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Villains Enterprise was established on December 16th. Taking the surviving member of The Elite (Marty Scrull) and partnering him with two highly sought after commodities on the independent circuit. It should be noted that Scrull and King teamed up in Australia as the Villain Enterprises to capture the WSW Tag Team Championship.

Villains Enterprise join Jax Dane and Crimson (War Kings) as the other announced tag team for the Crockett Cup 2019 on April 27 in Concord, NC
