Ricky Knight Jr. challenges for the Legendary 10lbs of Gold

December 22nd the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship returns to the United Kingdom for three additional title defenses to close out 2018.  World Association of Wrestling have scheduled the Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Adlis to face Ricky Knight Jr at Holt!? Do They Know It’s Christmas? at the Epic Studios in Norwich England, United Kingdom.  Nick Aldis doesn’t speak in hyperbole, “The Knight family started me in the business and now their 3rd generation prodigy gets the chance of a lifetime.”

At the previous WAW show on November 18th, Ricky Knight Jr. defeated Tony Knight, Dale Broughton and Villman to land the opportunity of a life time, a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Knight is the nephew to WWE Superstar Paige and was trained by his legendary family the Knights.  RKJ is only 18 years old but is three year veteran of the sport. He’s currently one half of the WAW Tag Team Champions with Roy Knight and the reigning WAW Television Champion.

October 21st, Nick Aldis regained his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship by defeating Cody at the 70th Anniversary Show.  Aldis successfully defended his championship against Jack Hager at WrestleCade.  The Aldis Crusade recently touched down in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Port Hueneme, California that netted the National Wrestling Alliance Worlds Champion two more successful victories over Brian Cage and “Bad Dude” Tito, respectively.  With these three title defenses scheduled in the UK, Nick Aldis will be the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion with the most successful title defenses in the United Kingdom.  His two reigns stretched over three months equates to almost one UK Worlds Heavyweight Championship match a month.

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship has scheduled matches leading up to March.  Aldis is currently scheduled to face Billy Gunn on the 16th in Puerto Rico, Knight on the 22nd in Norfolk, and two more matches in against an opponent to be announced for IPW Undisputed II December 23rd in Kent, and PCW: Endgame on December 29th in Preston City.
