Nick Aldis retains Ten Pounds of Gold in Omaha. I enjoyed the match for what it was. There was a distinct height and weight advantage for the Real Worlds champion, however, Jaysin Strife was able to get some offense in the match. I finally received my Nick Aldis Action Figure. I’ve been waiting on this order since July of 2020. I haven’t opened the package yet, so I opened it with you! What are your thoughts? Aldis was recently on a podcast: The Wrestling’s Cool Podcast and discussed all things pertaining to his time with Impact Wrestling, the launch of Ten Pounds of Gold, the NWA, and more. A couple of notes that I wanted to point out on this episode is that he does in fact say that a conservative estimate is that NWA POWERRR would be back by Spring. Of course, the NWA famously re-tweeted William Patrick Corgan’s tweet back in September saying they would be back. However, this puts to rest the idea that there would be tv tapings this month. Although Serene Deeb said she thought there would be, either the idea was scrapped or she spoke prematurely.
Also, we will talk about David Marquez’s announcement about Africa. What does this mean for the United Wrestling Network, what does it mean for the NWA? While the NWA plans on returning to POWERRR in the Spring, David Marquez announced he would be bringing the United Wrestling Network to Africa. No word if this will be a one-off event or a tour.
