This Thursday, we will do all the arrogant laughing. Now that Carson Drake is no longer the NWA World Television Champion, we’re going to discuss it. On this episode of the Alliance Guys Podcast, we will discuss if Carson Drake’s over, Thom Latimer’s role as champion, and this week’s POWERRR.

Now that Hard Times V has concluded, we can officially acknowledge that Carson Bartholomew Drake is no longer the NWA World Television Champion. Drake became champion on October 26th, 2024, by defeating Max the Impaler at Samhain 2. Drake and three title defense matches on POWERRR. A time limit draw against Misery, a triple threat defense against Baron Von Storm and PB Smooth that ended in a time limit draw, and a victory over Tyler Franks. Drake also had title defenses through the territories at JCP, Exodus Pro, Chicago, and DPCW, and a big match-up against the Real 1 (formerly known as Enzo Amore), most of which were not acknowledged on POWERRR. Inconsistent for the Lucky Seven, as previous champions’ defenses outside of the NWA didn’t count for the seven victories. It should be noted that he is now the WLW Heavyweight Champion. Let’s discuss, is Carson Drake “over”? What is your definition of over?

On POWERRR, Live Events, or other promotions, Thom Latimer has now defended the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship 30 times. EC3, Bryan Idol, Race Allen, Aron Stevens, Aaron Echo, Joe Ocasio, Bishop Dyer, Drake, Kratos, and Matt Cardona. Thom has now defended the title in ten states: New York, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, New Jersey, North Carolina, California, and Indiana. Thom has defended the title in New York, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, New Jersey, North Carolina, California, and Indiana. But he has also defended the Ten Pounds of Gold globally: Scotland, Canada, England, Austria, and Italy. I am not sure what more the NWA Worlds Heavyweight champion can do to prove why he should be considered one of the greatest champions of the Lightning One Era. What do you think?

What else do you want? We’ll try to figure that out too. Join us.
