NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce Disqualified in Brownsville, retains title

After winning a Battle Royal for an opportunity to challenge for the NWA Worlds Championship, Ben Galvan defeats the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Originally Galvan was given the three count, but referee Bruce Tharpe reversed the decision when it was discovered Pearce had used a steel chain to knock out Galvan for the pin.

NWA World Class officials on hand were not pleased with the disqualification, announced that a rematch has been scheduled for October 16th. To make sure the action in the ring stays in the ring, NWA World Class officials have made it a Lumberjack Match. And to ensure the referee won’t be bullied, special referee
