NWA World Jr. Champion Craig Classic Forfeits the Title.
I relinquish my NWA World’s Jr. Heavyweight Title in Protest to the horrible decision to strip our world champion the Sheik of his title. Sheik was on a tremendous roll bringing the title overseas and around the United States. I love and respect this business and for this to happen to anyone in are industry is horseshit and I will not agree with this decision.
Craig Classic was the man to defeat Mike Quackenbush and bring an end to an over 1200 day period as NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion. Classic became champion at NWA Florida’s PPV, November Coming Fire in For Pierce Florida. Classic would go on to defend against Tony Kozina, Munenori Sawa, Billy Fives, AR Fox, Lince Dorado, Joey Spades, Colby Corino, former champion Jerrelle Clark, Kahagas, and Vordell Walker.
Classic forfeited the title in solidarity with The Sheik, who was stripped of the title for refusing to defend the championship. There is no definitive answer for what will happen with the Junior Heavyweight Championship.
