NWA: World Class Championship Wrestling featuring NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce
Newly crowned and four-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, “Scrap Iron “Adam Pearce, will be competing in Brownsville, Texas at the City of Brownsville Parks and Rec Center located on 8th & Tyler (1338 E 8th St) on Saturday, August 20th, 2011. Pearce will be bringing his newly won ’10 pounds of Gold’ with him, along with its rich wrestling history. The lineage of the championship dates back over sixty years, which such luminous champions as Ric Flair, Terry Funk and Harley Race.
This will be the inaugural “NWA: WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING” event and is sure to be a memorable one. The south Texas chapter of NWA has not only changed its name, but promises to be the elite in pro wrestling from here on end and is doing just that by raising the bar with it’s inaugural event!The action takes place THIS SATURDAY!Pearce has earned himself a lot of respect and accolades throughout his 15 year long career, earning victories over some of the biggest stars in the wrestling world today. Pearce himself declared that this will be his “One Last Ride” and could be retiring from professional wrestling after these last few dates he has booked.
The greatest roadblock in Pearce’s tour will come on August 20th, 2011 as the brass of “NWA: World Class Championship Wrestling” has announced that there will be an “International Battle Royal” held on the same night of Pearce’s title defense to crown a contender that will face Adam Pearce for the NWA title later that night. Performers from both the U.S. and Mexico will be vying for a chance at the title. This could very well be Pearce’s final night as champion, and Brownsville could witness history on August 20th!
A few of the wrestlers competing on August 20th include NWA Jr Heavyweight Contender – Rudy Russo, Former NWA TX Champ – Ben Galvan, Former Dallas Cowboy – Willie Hamilton, and Lucha Libre wrestling stars – “Perrito Del Ma”l Lowrider & Samurai Del Sol.

Bruce Tharpe, 801 E Van Buren in Brownsville and from 8-9pm at Gabriella’s Italian Grill & Pizzeria, 700 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island. Pearce will have T-Shirts and 8×10 Photos for sale and fans are encouraged to bring their cameras and get a photo with the champ!
