NWA Victorious in Japan: New Japan and NOAH Matches

Not unlike a modern day pairing of Hansen & Brody, reigning NWA World Tag Team Champions the Killer Elite Squad have continued their dominance in the land of the rising son. Earlier this morning, Lance Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr. defeated The Mighty Don’t Kneel (Haste and Nichols) for the GHC Tag Team Championship, the tag titles for Pro Wrestling NOAH at Nagoya Congress Center. TMDK were two time champions, however this was their first defense. The 33rd GHC Tag Team Champions, K.E.S. now also hold the NWA World Tag Team Championship and are former IWGP Tag Team Champions.  TMDK have demanded a rematch.

And in Osaka at the Bodymaker Colosseum in Osaka led to the ring by NWA President Bruce Tharpe , NWA World Champion Rob Conway and former World Jr. Champion Chase Owens (members of the Illuminati in NWA Smoky Mountain) teamed up to take on their opponents for the New Beginning Pay Per View in Hiroyoshi Tenzan and reigning NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Jushin “Thunder” Liger.  The match finished when Chase Owens was able to connect with a Package Piledriver on Liger.
