NWA POWERRR Stars Main Event Catalyst Wrestling | NWA NEWS

January 15th in Brooklyn, New York, East Coast Pro Wrestling presents Catalyst Wrestling’s Ewing. . On this date stars from the National Wrestling Alliance are set to the main event. Trevor Murdoch and Homicide will do battle with Colby Corino and Wrecking Ball Legursky.
Trevor Murdoch
The meteoric rise of Trevor Murdoch in the National Wrestling Alliance has been awe-inspiring. On the first episodes of POWERRR, Murdoch was portrayed as a guy, just looking for a shot. Looking for an opportunity. The beleaguered veteran had spent decades with the WWE, but in recent years had been out of the spotlight. Murdoch went from forgotten to feared. He pushed the competition in the NWA to its limits.
In the fall of 2020, he would best Aron Stevens for the National Heavyweight Champion at Prime Time LIVE. In less than a year, he would be challenging for the Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Murdoch would defeat Nick Aldis to become Worlds Heavyweight Champion at the NWA 73rd Anniversary.
Murdoch has had three successful title defenses. His victories are over SICW’s Atilla Khan, Mike Knox, and Gangrel.
Homicide
A made man in the sport, Homicide has held championship gold, everywhere he’s gone. Most recently a former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion. Homicide is also a former Catalyst Champion in his own right. Most recently Homicide has teamed with La Rebelion on two different occasions in the NWA. He also recently won a Junior Heavyweight Scramble for NWA Hard Times 2 Pre Show. That victory put him into the 4 Way Title Match for the World Jr. Heavyweight Championship.
It seems as if the Corino last name isn’t the only thing Colby inherited from his father Steve. Although their paths haven’t crossed in the NWA, Homicide and Colby Corino have had a heated rivalry. The pair have battled over the Catalyst Wrestling Title.
Colby Corino
No longer willing to stand in the shadow of his old man, Colby Corino has been in search of creating his own legacy. Remarkably, Colby has been wrestling since the age of five. Despite some setbacks, Colby has found a home at NWA POWERRR. Colby made his debut for Billy Corgan’s NWA back in December 2019 as part of The Circled Squared Competition. Like Homicide, Corino is currently competing in the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Qualifying Tournament Matches. Colby has the distinction for challenging for the title when he was only 15 years old. As of late, Colby has enlisted the help of Fixers to stack the odds in his favor.
Wrecking Ball Legursky
Teaming with Jay Bradley, Legursky made his official NWA debut at By Any Means Necessary. The Fixers have had a handful of victories in the NWA, while being the hired muscle for Corino. Legursky is a regular in the North East, including Catalyst.
