NWA Powerrr Results: March 14th, 2023

Here are the results from March 14th’s edition of NWA Powerrr, taped on February 12th and 13th from the WEDU PBS Studios, Tampa, Florida.
Earlier in the empty arena, Chris Adonis told Joe Galli that for the last year, he had felt that he was wrestling’s most under-appreciated grappler and this is his shot. Adonis stated that Tyrus will not be able to break the Masterlock. Tyrus came out and cut a good promo, comparing Adonis to Achillies, before claiming Zeus himself couldn’t get his arms around Tyrus’ shoulders for the Masterlock.
We get a repeat of last week’s talking heads segment between Ashley D’Amboise and Kenzie Paige. The talking head segments from the Champions Series onwards have been very good.
Match 1: NWA World Women’s TV Championship Tournament Semi-Final – Kenzie Paige beat Ashley D’Amboise in a good match to progress to the tournament final after she nailed D’Amboise with the Kenzie Cutter.
Trevor Murdoch told May Valentine that the NWA tested him last week by putting him in the ring with Beast Mode. Trevor got hurt, but then Daisy Kill decided to involve himself. Trevor promises Daisy Kill that they’ll have words when Murdoch’s ready to return.
Match 2: Mike Knox beat ‘The Space Cowboy’ Staycee Alexander in a fun squash. Knox was over hot with the crowd and he worked them well.
Bobby Fulton told May Valentine that he has been welcomed by so many in the NWA locker room but he’s never been as disrespected as he has been The Fixers. Fulton may have been retired for years but he’s so angry that he’s going to issue an open challenge to either Fixer. He loves wrestling so much and isn’t going to let anyone disrespect the business.
Rolando Freeman (backed by The Spectaculars) feels betrayed and manipulated by Aron Stevens, who was the one who pushed him to challenge Tyrus when he wasn’t ready. He’s coming for Stevens next and it’s personal – Aron stabbed him in the back and he stabbed May in the back!
Match 3: NWA World TV Champion Thom Latimer defeated Rhett Titus in a really good mat-based encounter after Thom made Rhett tap out to the STF.
Thrillybilly Silas and Pollo Del Mar told May Valentine because Silas still hasn’t got his National Championship shot yet. However, Silas has Brady Pierce next and is going to cut through the NWA roster one by one. Great work from the other NWA power couple, Pollo and Silas.
Match 4: Kerry Morton beat Mecha Wolf in a very entertaining ‘Champions Exhibition’ match. The finish came when the ref snatched the tag team belt out of Mecha Wolf’s hand and Kerry used the distraction to hit the running knee and the elbow to the heart for the pin. Crowd booed Morton after, which was interesting, as Morton has only shown signs of heelish behaviour so far in the NWA. As for his social media, well…
That’s all for this week’s NWA Powerrr. Thanks for reading!
