Murdoch and Adonis Face-To-Face Meeting
Chris Adonis wrestled his first match for the NWA on March 21st 2021 at Back for the Attack. Adonis’ plan was to win the NWA National Championship to gain favor from Nick Aldis and Strictly Business. However, those plans backfired when Trevor Murdoch was able to defeat Adonis. Not happy with his loss, Adonis attacked Murdoch after the match. This prevented Murdoch from appearing on the return episode of POWERRR. Adonis would team with Strictly Business in a Six-Man-Tag-Team match. Their opponents were Aron Stevens, JR Kratos, and Elijah Burke. Adonis’ team would be victorious. On the episode of 23 of NWA POWERRR, Murdoch would question the integrity of Nick Aldis. The Worlds Heavyweight Champion would allow Adonis to sneak attack Murdoch. This would result in a re-injury of Murdoch, but the two would battle in a NO DQ match for the title. The match ended by referee stoppage when Murdoch was unresponsive while in the Matster-Lock. This would mark the third loss for Murdoch on the program.
Stevens and Kratos in Action
JR Kratos was the mystery tag team partner for Aron Stevens when they defeated the former champions at Prime Time LIVE. In the wake of the passing of Jocephus, Stevens promised to turn over a new leaf. That didn’t appear to sit well with Kratos while the team participated in a six-man-tag-team match on the return POWERRR episode. It was Steven’s conscience that prevented Kratos from using a chair on his opponent. This minor distraction allowed Chris Adonis to roll up Kratos for the victory. Frustrated the two barked at each other in the closing moments of that episode.
Stevens and Kratos appeared to be on the same page the following week while being interview by Mae Valentine. Valentine’s BFF, Sal Rinauro would interrupt the interview to ask for a title match. Stevens agreed. The following week Rinauro would interrupt yet another moment for Kratos and Stevens to ask for Stevens to fulfill that promise. Aron Stevens seemed to backtrack, explaining that Rinauro would need a partner to have the match.
For Rinauro, he has held tag team championships in the past. Most notably, he teamed with Tony Mamaluke to capture the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships back in 2005. The NWA acknowledged that Sal’s partner is a former NWA Champion
Kamile vs Jennacide
For the better part of two years, Kamille has been the insurance policy for Nick Aldis. She stepped into the scene at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show to keep Brandi Rhodes out of the title match. as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. But it wasn’t until January 25th, 2020 that Kamille wrestled her first official NWA match. Since then she’s been on a winning streak. Now the number one contender to the Burke Kamille waits for her opportunity. While she waits for Serena Deeb to accept her challenge, Kamille has made her quest to cause chaos for Thunder Rosa.
Jennacide made her debut at NWA POWERRR as part of the Thunder Rosa Exhibition Match. Jennacide is a part of the Mission Pro Roster. Although she’s been wrestling for the past five years, Jennacide has come into her own with Mission Pro. Being associated with Mission Pro opened doors at AEW and now NWA. Standing at 5’10, she is one of the few women in the wrestling that matches Kamile in height.
Aldis vs Clearwater Round 2 Exhibition
On September 14th, 2020 Nick Aldis and Jordan Clearwater wrestled each other in Long Beach, California. This was the very first match taped in Thunder Studios. Although the match was never intended to air on the PPV series Prime Time LIVE, the match did find it’s way to NWA Programing. In late December, the NWA released a series of matches taken from Prime Time LIVE, edited down to NWA Shockwave. This match helped Clearwater get noticed by the NWA. Shortly after his defeat in Long Beach, Clearwater would win the Hollywood Heritage Championship. His run as Champion was brief. There were high expectations for Clearwater in the NWA, but has yet to get a victory in an NWA Ring.
His opponent is the dealer, the Real Worlds Champion. Nick Aldis hasn’t lost a match since April 14th, 2019 and that loss was by disqualification. Nobody has pinned Aldis since September 1st, 2018, when Cody Rhodes defeated Aldis for the Ten Pounds of Gold at All In. Now some 900 days at the Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Nick Aldis will wrestle an exhibition match, against a man he’s already beaten.
