NWA News and Notes for Nov. 5th

Weeks removed from the 70th Anniversary show and things have been relatively quiet from the NWA. The show crowned two new champions and reignited its woman’s championship.
Coming off her first successful defense since the brand re-activated the Woman’s Championship, Jazz defeated defeated Jordynne Grace at the Women’s Wrestling Revolution. The show took place in Deer Park, New York at the NYWC Sportatorium and can been streamed via Powerbomb.tv. As champion Jazz has reportedly defended the title four times since winning the championship. On September 16th she defeated Amber Gallows and Christi Jaynes in Sherman Texas. As champion Jazz had defended the title in Japan as part of the Reina Makoto 10th Anniversary.
Its hard to argue that Willie Mack has been having a career year in 2018. Mack made history by winning the NWA National Championship by pinning Samuel Shaw following a Stunner. Shaw had outlasted Colt Cabana, Sammy Guevara and Scorpio Sky to advance to the finals. Mack had to outlast Mike Parrow, Jay Bradley and Ricky Starks to advance. Mack is also still recognized as the House of Hardcore Twitch/TV Champion. This past Saturday Mack defeated El Barbaro Cavernario, El Mesias, and Michael Elgin to win the Crash Championship in Tijuana Mexico. And the week before Mack successfully defended the NWA National Title at Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, defeating “Uptown” Andy Brown. Mack was recognized as the Hollywood Heritage Champion, however was recently stripped of the title for reasons that will be revealed on the CWFH TV show in the upcoming weeks.
Last week Nick Aldis announced via Facebook Live his next three challengers spread over the next seven weeks. Aldis will face MCW’s Brandon Scott on November 9th, Jack Swagger on the 24th at Wrestlecade and Billy Gunn in Puerto Rico on December 16th. Aldis of course is still riding the wave of victory after defeating Cody to regain the Ten Pound of Gold at the Anniversary Show.
