NO NWA; NO PROBLEM | THE ALLIANCE GUYS | #WRESTLETALK

With no new NWA programing news, the Alliance Guys will discuss WWE’s deal with Netflix, The United Wrestling Network’s partnership with ROW and more.

Enjoy #Wrest

Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling has announced that they have entered into a Talent Sharing Agreement with the United Wrestling Network. Currently, the UWN is represented by Memphis Championship Wrestling, Championship Wrestling, and Derby City Wrestling. There have been long-standing overtures that the brand would work together in some capacity. Specifically, Booker T made an appearance at a Championship Wrestling Taping last spring, Will Alday has repeated appearances for Championship Wrestling, and United World Champion Danny Limelight has become a regular for ROW. Could this lead to Reality of Wrestling joining the UWN? We’ll discuss.

NETFLIX has emerged as the RAW SWEEPSTAKES winner. Starting in January 2025, Netflix will be the new home for the flagship of the WWE. RAW has been the longest-running episodic program on cable. Predominately associated with USA, it was also briefly a part of the rebranding of the Nashville Network to the National Network, later Spike TV, and currently Paramount. Does this move from the WWE (who were paid 5 Billion dollars for the right) the NWA’s move to the CW? Let’s weigh in on it.

EC3 has been World Champion since August 28th, 2023 concluding the NWA 75th Anniversary Show. He has defended the title four times as many times as Tyrus as World Champion. But has had to either reschedule or cancel 4 title defenses in that time? Is his schedule too intense? Should NWA fans be concerned?

Lastly, we will discuss TNA Wrestling. TNA Wrestling was formed originally when founded by Jerry and Jeff Jarrett, TNA Wrestling was associated with the NWA through a licensing agreement. Although the company would quit referring to itself as NWA TNA by 2004, it remained a licensee until 2007 when the NWA ended the agreement. From 2004 to 2017, TNA became Impact Wrestling. They would rebrand to Global Force Wrestling for a short time before becoming Impact Wrestling again, the same year. That would stand until January 1st, 2024 when the company would rebrand back to TNA Wrestling. All of this to say, which branding was best? Global Force, Impact, or TNA Wrestling? Let’s debate!
