Nick Aldis at ROH’s Final Battle

Wrestling News had spotted NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis in New York prior to the Final Battle Pay Per View at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Since its inception Ring of Honor’s biggest night has been Final Battle. For the third year running, Ring of Honor returned to the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Aldis has had a handful of matches in Ring of Honor this year.  First his title defense against Flip Gordon in where Gordon’s hope of getting booked for All In was foiled when he lost a NWA Worlds Title match with the Champion.  The National Treasure would have one more match in Ring of Honor prior to regaining the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title from Cody in match with Christopher Daniels at at Death before Dishonor.

The conclusion of the Ring of Honor World Title match would see Cody tap out to a figure four leg lock by Jay Lethal to retain his title.  Their was a post match confrontation between ROH Champion Lethal and “The Villain” Marty Scrull.  Scrull being a friend of Cody’s and a member of the Elite.

After the altercation, Nick Aldis and Kamille appeared on camera apparently celebrating the confrontation by The Villain.  Marty and Aldis are friends and its been stated often by Aldis that he’d be happy to face Marty in the ring again.

The brief cameo at tonight’s ROH Pay Per View is more than likely a precursor to things to come in Ring of Honor.  Ring of Honor tape television Saturday December 15th in Philadelphia for the Final Battle Fallout.

Sunday December 16th the Legendary Ten Pounds of Gold returns to Puerto Rico as part of CWA’s Showdown.  Worlds Champion Aldis will take on Billy Gunn.
