New NWA Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Champion

Nick Madrid woke up Saturday much like any other morning. He got to Glendale Studios much like any other NWA Hollywood TV Taping Event. He greeted familiar faces, respectfully shaking hands, but ultimately preparing for one of his greatest opportunities yet. It might be faint memory for some, but not for Nick Madrid. On his best day, he beat Adam Pearce. At the time Pearce was Worlds Heavyweight Champion, however Pearce did not have the title on the line in that match up. Although casted as a Junior Heavyweight, one of Madrid’s biggest accomplishment came wrestling a heavyweight.
Because of a scheduling conflict, Kevin Douglas would not be in attendance to defend the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship against Famous B. NWA Hollywood Match Makers put a match together featuring two of the crowds favorites in B and Madrid, however Famous B would walk away victorious after this match, with Pinky distracting Madrid while he efforted a Running of the Bulls. In Madrid’s second match of the night he would be victorious against Robbie Phoenix with Frog Splash. Madrid’s celebration with Jonny Loquasto would be interrupted again by Pinky.
Madrid’s Sunday would be different. Instead of driving down the 5 Freeway to Glendale, he would be flying to Salem Oregon. Madrid was on a quest Sunday Morning. Madrid was looking to become a Champion! And that’s exactly what Madrid did. Battling the seasoned veteran and reigning NWA Northwest Champion Michelle Starr, he and Madrid battled back and forth. Perhaps thinking back to his time wrestling the larger Pearce, Madrid would be victorious against the bigger more experience Gorgeous Michelle Starr. It would be a mere seconds after winning the title Madrid would have his first challenge, “Main Event” Moose.
