New NWA North American Champion: Byron Wilcott

Breaking News: Wilcott Regains NWA North American Title

Byron Wilcott has defeated the Tokyo Monster Kahagas to become a two-time NWA North American Heavyweight Champion at an NWA Texoma event in Sherman, Texas.

Kahagas had defeated Wilcott on April 20, 2013 at NWA Houston’s “Parade of Champions” event and had been the longest reigning major NWA champion. Kahagas had been the first modern NWA Triple Crown Champion, being a former World and National Heavyweight Champion.

Wilcott had previously won the North American title from Houston Carson in February 2013 at NWA Houston and held it for two months before losing it to Kahagas.
