Legendary tag team the Rock ‘N Roll Express returned to the National Wrestling Alliance. The NWA has crowned new tag team champions.
The Rock N’ Roll Express shocked the world Tuesday night by defeating the Wild Cards (Royce Isaacs and Thomas Latimer) to capture the NWA World Tag Team Championship for a record-breaking ninth time.
The duo has been teaming again since April of 2019. Ricky and Robert competed at GPW’s Rock & Roll Never Forgers, GCW’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break, the HLW Heroes and Legends XII, the Crockett Cup, at Beyond Americanrana 2019, at Glory Pro Thunderstruck, Ring Oh Honor, and as part of the New Japan Pro Wrestling at the end of September.
The last time Morton and Gibson won the NWA World Tag Team Titles was back in 2000, but were also an integral part of the NWA invasion of the WWF in 1998 winning the NWA Tag Team titles inside of a WWF Ring. They also held the titles going back to 1995, 1987, 1986, and 1985.
