La Rebelión Are Tired Of Waiting | Attack AAA Tag Champions | Triplemania
La Rebelión are no strangers to Lucha Libre AAA. Bestia 666 first started wrestling for AAA in 2011 as part of Los Perros Del Mal with his father Damian 666 and Halloween. Mecha Wolf started working on AAA shows in 2015. The two started to appear regularly for AAA as a tag team at events in Tijuana. First as La Rebelión Amarilla and later just as La Rebelión. They were invited to defend the NWA World Tag Team Championships at the PPV AAA Invades Wrestlecon. They were invited to be at the AAA Triplemania XXX also in Tijuana as part of the Copa TripleMania XXX Battle Royal.
In the second half of 2022, La Rebelión really started to get more opportunities with AAA outside of Tijuana. Competing in tag team matches all over Mexico. They also made a huge impact in Lucha Libre AAA when they defended the NWA World Tag Team Championship against Blue Demon Jr. and Vampiro in Mexico City at Foro Sol as part of the World is a Vampire Tour. The relationship between AAA and the NWA began to blossom after this event as talents from the NWA were invited to participate in the Lucha Libre World Cup. Likewise, talents from AAA were invited to participate in this year’s Crockett Cup.
Arez and Komander won the Lucha Libre AAA World Tag Team Championship on May 20th, 2023. Normally Arez teams with Viper as part of the stable Los Vipers. That pair represented AAA at the Crockett Cup. Arez was also featured at the World is a Vampire Festival in Mexico City teaming in a Mixed Tag Team Match with La Hiedra. Komander teamed with Octagon Jr. to take on Cyon and Homicide.
La Rebelión looks to be part of this year’s Triple Mania teaming with Pagano versus Aramis, Jack Evans, and Vampiro (who recently started guiding the pair in the NWA). This event will also feature Natalia Markova and the NWA Women’s World Champion teaming with Viva Van to take on Dalys, Lady Shani, and Sexy Star. And the Main Event is Vikingo defending the AAA Mega Championship against AEW Superstar Kenny Omega.
