Eight years ago “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce defeated former NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Rave, then National Champion Chance Prophet, and then North American Champion Shaun Tempers in a four-way match to fill the vacant NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in Columbus Ohio at the Ohio State Fair.
