Fusion Wrestling: Shanghai Showdown 8 Results

Last night Fusion Wrestling presented the biggest Indy wrestling show of 2014 in the state of Virginia before a packed gym at King and Queen Elementary School. 1. Wildman Kongo defeated “Brutal” Bob Evans, Nick Westgate, and Sterling Williams in an Ultimate Jeopardy match. As a result Kongo will receive a future Continental title shot while Evans as a virtue of being pinned can’t receive any Fusion title shot for an entire year. 2. Brandon Day & Pat Cusick d. Fusion Tag Champs Outlaw Ink by DQ when Ryan Nuzzi used a cowbell on Day. 3. Jefferson Early d. Da Curse with Da Gift as special referee. In Curses first match back in 15 months from injury he took the talented Early to the limit but in the end he came up short as his brother Da Gift was forced to count his brothers shoulders. 4. Alpha Champion Sabbath d. Larry Horsley by referee stoppage after Sabbath delivered a brutal chokeslam from off the apron onto a table on the floor. After lying motionless for a few minutes Horsley was helped to the back and he eventually went to the hospital from his injuries. 5. Continental Champion Preston Quinn and “Diamond” Victor Grif went to a no contest when an unadvertised Damien Wayne came in from the crowd. At first Wayne just attacked Quinn and put Grif on top of Quinn to give Grif the title but Quinn kicked out and when Wayne returned to the ring Grif took exception to Wayne interfering so Wayne preceded to lay Grif out as well and in the process gave the ref no choice but to call for the bell. Afterwards Wayne continued to beat down Quinn and said he was back in Fusion and there would be hell to pay. Luckily for Quinn, “Brutal” Bob Evans and Nick Westgate saved Quinn from being piledriven onto a steel chair. Quinn eventually made it to his feet to celebrate with the fans to close the show.
