TALOS v KENTO

Seven-time All Japan Pro Wrestling Triple Crown Champion KENTO MIYAHARA defends his title against former NWA US Tag Team Champion and current All Japan Pro Wrestling World Tag Team Champion, Talos. The title will be decided on January 25th at “New Year Wars 2026.”

TALOS

Talos entered the National Wrestling Alliance as Daisy Kill’s giant. The pair began to cause chaos in the tag team division, feuding with Knox and Murdoch. The pair would win a pivotal match at the NWA 75th Anniversary Show when they defeated the Fixers for a shot at the NWA United States Tag Team Championship. Kill and Talos would defend the titles in the NWA and at Coastal Championship Wrestling. Shortly after losing the tag team titles, Talos challenged EC3 for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, but was unsuccessful. Kill and Talos would team again to become two-time United States Champions by defeating the Fixers. Talos last wrestled for the NWA at the Crockett Cup 2025. In his absence, Talos has found a second home in All Japan Pro Wrestling, spending most of 2025 teaming with Ren Ayabe as the Titans of Calamity. The duo won the AJPW World Tag Team Championship.

KENTO MIYAHARA

Arguably one of the greatest wrestlers of the modern era. Kento Miyahara is undoubtedly the ace of All Japan Pro Wrestling. Kento Miyahara broke into the business under the Kensuke Office. With stops in smaller promotions, Miyahara spent extensive time with NOAH Pro Wrestling before settling with All Japan Pro Wrestling. By 2013, he was almost exclusive to AJPW. He won his first championship, the All Asia Tag Team Championship, with Kotaro Suzuki as Xceed. He would later capture the AJPW six times, with four different partners: Go Shizoaki, Yoshitatsu, Yuma Aoyagi, and Takula Nomura. Although his partnership with Aoyagi has been the most fruitful, winning the titles three times.

TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPIONSHIP

The Triple Crown Championship was established on April 18th, 1989. The PWF World Heavyweight Championship was unified with the NWA United National Heavyweight Championship and the NWA International Heavyweight Championship in a match with Jumbo Tsuruta defeating Stan Hansen. Many legendary wrestlers have been Triple Crown Champions, including Mitsuharu Misawa, Stan Hansen, Suwama, Toshiaki Kawada, The Great Muta, Satoshi Kojima, and Kenta Kobashi, but none have held it more times than Miyahara.
