Danny Limelight – Longest Reigning UWN World Champion! Will he reach 300 Days?

Danny Limelight is a history maker and the third United Wrestling Network World Champion. After winning the inaugural Golden Opportunity tournament in 2022, the Radioactive Papi went out to defeat Jordan Clearwater to win the United Wrestling World Championship on the Christmas Eve of Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield. As of this writing the face of the United Wrestling Network is now at 248 TV days (255 Days). Let us take a look at his historic title reign.

As mentioned he won the United Wrestling World Championship from Jordan Clearwater on the Christmas Eve (12/25/22) Episode (Taping date: 12/11/2022). His first title defense was already a historic one due to the announcement: in a sold out Bell Bank Park from Phoenix, AZ against ALL ELITE WRESTLING’s EDDIE KINGSTON at the Red Carpet Rumble! The match ended in a No Contest due to Jordan Clearwater’s interference but that doesn’t change the fact that the Radioactive Papi stood toe to toe with the current NJPW Strong Openweight Champion. It also marked the first UWN World Championship Match outside the Southern California area. Danny Limelight repeated that by defending the title at the first Derby City Wrestling TV Taping in Louisville, KY by defeating Rocco Bellagio. The other title defenses in SoCal were against Zicky Dice, Jordan Clearwater and NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING’s Clark Connors & “Filthy” Tom Lawlor.

With 248 (TV) / 258 (Taping) Days as United Wrestling Network World Champion, will he reach 300 days? Or will he even be able to held the title for a full calender year?

Fact is that he has a lot of strong contenders going after his title. His next TV scheduled Title defense will be against Red Carpet Rumble 2023 Winner Invictus Khash at Golden Opportunity. IMPACT WRESTLING’s Moose will challenge Limelight for the Title at Derby City Wrestling on August 6 in Louisville, KY and Bad Dude Tito is still waiting for his shot at the title. Also the winner of the Golden Opportunity is waiting for the World Champion in the Fall…

Limelight proved time and time again that he can beat his opponents – no matter the size. But will he able to beat former IMPACT World Champion Moose on August 6? The Wrestling God showed his true colors at the last TV Taping and that he is willing to do everything to become the new World Champion. Be there live on August 6 to withness this Match and more!
