In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Mexican Culture. Although initially it was meant to represent the victory at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862 against the French Empire.
Masked Republic’s mission is to expand Lucha Libre beyond the borders of Mexico through distribution, licensing, and more. Talent that currently works with Masked Republic are Rey Mysterio Jr., Konan, Penta Zero M, Rey Fenix, Tinieblas Jr., Juventud Guerrera, and Solar, to name a few.
Championship Wrestling from Hollywood has always celebrated Mexican Culture and Lucha Libre often showcasing some of the top names in Lucha Libre throughout the years, like former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Blue Demon Jr., El Hijo De Santo, Rey Misterio Sr., Psychosis, former NWA Tag Team Champions Los Luchas and many more.
