And NEW NWA TV Champion
Da Pope becomes the third NWA Television Champion of the Lightning One era of the NWA, by defeating “Outlandish” Zicky Dice on United Wrestling Network’s Prime Time LIVE, Tuesday October 20th 2020.
On Tuesday, October 20th on Prime Time LIVE, a new NWA Television Champion was crowned. Da Pope Elijah Burke was able to connect with the Elijah Express to end the 268 day reign of Outlandish Zicky Dice.
Burke is now the third person to hold the championship since the title was reintroduced to the NWA back on December 14th during the Into the Fire PPV. Ricky Starks would become the first champion by defeating Trevor Murdoch at Hard Times. Ricky Starks would have three title defense over two months of television, but would only physically be champion for two days.
Zicky Dice became champion when he defeated Ricky Starks on NWA POWERRR and had only one defense before facing Elijah Burke on Prime Time LIVE.
This was the second NWA championship to change hands on an Prime Time Live. The next NWA championship to be defended on the program will be next week when Thunder Rosa defends against AEW’s Serena Deeb. It is assumed that the TV title will be a central point to NWA POWERRR when it returns, which has not announced timetable for it’s return. Lastly it should be noted that the physical belt was not the same title that Dice won on POWERRR. This belt looked to be a knock off, but had the more desired look of the red leather strap on the belt.
