Aldis vs Cardona II | Alwayz Ready | NWA News

The National Wrestling Alliance has announced the Main Event for Alwayz Ready. Matt Cardona will be defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis at the June 11th, PPV. This will mark the 2nd time the National Treasure has challenged Matt Cardona for the Ten Pounds of Gold.

Although the match has been announced, the match stipulation will not be announced until next Tuesday, May 17th.

The Aldis Crusade

Nick Aldis has been heralded as one of the greatest NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champions of the modern era. His first run as the standard-bearer of the NWA resulted in once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for the Champion. Aldis was the first man to defend the title in China. He was the 1st and only champion to defend the title on 4 different continents. Aldis would defend the legendary championship in Ring of Honor, House of Hardcore, Warrior Wrestling, and the United Wrestling Network. Once Aldis regained the championship, he continued to spearhead the NWA’s progress including the advent of NWA POWERRR.

Alwayz Ready

Matt Cardona took the world of independent wrestling by storm. Once he was finished with the WWE, he started to make appearances, well, everywhere. The former WWE Superstar is currently the ASW Heavyweight Champion, the AIW Absolute, and AIW Intense Champion, he holds the Impact Digital Media Championship, along with the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. The self-professed savior of the NWA managed to weasel his way into a title shot at POWERRR TRIP against Trevor Murdoch. Since winning the title, Cardona holds victories over Nick Aldis, The Pope, and Richard Holliday.
