Richards is Out, Holliday is In | NWA Worlds Championship Match | NWA News

Breaking News… Davey Richards will not be in action Saturday Night, April 9th. Replacing him in the match will be Richard Holliday. No reason was given for Richards removal from the match, however, Matt Cardona tweeted that “Davey had lost his smile.” Richards is still scheduled to face Chris Dickinson on April 21st for the United Wrestling Network.

Holliday like Richards is also signed to Major League Wrestling. He defeated Davey Richards on March 31st, 2022 at MLW Intimidation Games. He had recently r turned on his long-time friend Alexander Hammerstone. They were part of the stable the Dynasty. Holliday is a former MLW Tag Team Champion, with MJF. He has also held the MLW Carribian Championship. He has won championships in IWA Puerto Rico Heavyweight Championship as well. Holliday steps into the match with absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.

To his credit, Matt Cardona will continue on with the match. The ASW Championship will still be part of this match. Cardona has found himself to be a bit of a belt collector himself as of late. Not only does he hold the Ten Pounds of Gold. But He Impact Digital Media Championship. He holds both the Absolute Championship and Intense Championship for AIW. All the while, Cardona still carries the self-professed title of Internet Champion.
