Explosive Pro Wrestling is set to mark it’s 9th anniversary in style as we prepare for the biggest show of 2010, RE-AWAKENING 9.
EPW Championship Match
Jamie Jurah (c) vs. Davis Storm
The main event will see the long awaited rematch between the current EPW Champion Jamie Jurah and the #1 contender, ‘The Ironman’ Davis Storm. Jurah has been ducking Storm since their first encounter for the gold ended in a time limit draw. EPW officials have ensured us that we will have a winner this time.
Invitational Tournament Final
Kiel Steria vs. Carlo Cannon vs. Marcius Pitt
We also know that the final of the Invitational Tournament will feature three men who are all desperate to take home the trophy and guarantee themselves a shot at the EPW Champion in 2011. Victoria’s controversial ‘Panty Dropper’ Carlo Cannon has claimed that he will be taking the trophy home to Melbourne when it’s all said and done. For him to achieve that, he will need to get past two of EPW’s hottest rising stars in the ‘Golden Greek’ Marcius Pitt and the Entourage’s own ‘Hollywood’ Kiel Steria.
I Quit Match
Bobby Marshall vs. Jimmy Payne
Bobby Marshall and Jimmy Payne have a long and storied history that has seen them compete in some of the greatest matches in EPW history. Well they are set to create a little more history at RE-AWAKENING 9 as they go to war in an ‘I QUIT MATCH’. After being destroyed by Jimmy earlier in the year, Nate Dooley put out a $2000 bounty on the head of his former tag team partner. With $2000 at stake, Marshall was keen to accept the challenge and has promised to put Payne out of action for good.
Street Fight
Chase Griffin vs. Tyler Jacobs
The issue between ‘Shotgun’ Tyler Jacobs and the current Hardcore Shield holder, Chase Griffin, has been gathering steam through out the second half of 2010 and will finally explode on November 27th. As the original ‘Hardcore’ member of the EPW roster, Jacobs has claimed that Griffin is a paper champion who is simply ‘playing hardcore’. Griffin is more than happy to test his hardcore credentials against his foe and they have signed on to do battle in a STREET FIGHT.
EPW Tag Team Championship Match
Johnny Wimbledon & Chris Vice vs. Winners of #1 Contenders Match
3-Way #1 Contenders Tag Team Match
Blitz Team vs. Team Allstar vs. AZ Vegara & Dan Moore
Three teams will do battle for the right to face the current EPW tag team champions later in the evening. After being forced back together at Road to Glory, the Blitz Team of Shane Haste and Alex Kingston are back together and searching for a shot at the gold. Team All Star’s Brad West & Michael Morleone are on a roll after their huge victory in the Riot Den and will be out to end their year on a high by claiming the tag team titles. And finally, with his Diamonds in the Rough tag team partner, Damian Slater, not available for RE-AWAKENING, AZ Vegara has selected former tag team champion, Dan ‘the Future’ Moore to be his tag team partner for the evening. Who will win this three way and do they possess the will and stamina to go on and defeat Chris Vice and Jonathon Wimbledon?
Sebastian Sander vs. Rocky Menero
In what may be the biggest singles match of his career, Sebastian Sander will go one on one with Adelaide veteran, Rocky Menero. The captain of Team All Star is in career best form but he will be more than tested as he faces up to the one of the men responsible for training former EPW champions, Jimmy Payne, Davis Storm & Tyler Jacobs. Menero is no joke and will be looking to establish his name with a win over EPW’s biggest wrestler.
8 Man Elimination Match
And finally, the saga between Gavin McGavin and Garry Schmidt continues as the two men will lead their respective teams in an EIGHT MAN ELIMINATION MATCH. Both men are scrambling to get their teams together and they will be announced in the coming days.
