United Wrestling Network to crown World Champion

After eight years, David Marquez announced the introduction of a United World Heavyweight Championship on tonight’s Primetime Live.

Eight years in the making the announcement was made on Tuesday Night, during Primetime Live that the United Wrestling Network would crown a new champion.

This version of the Championship dates back three years ago. The side plates pay homage to Ric Flair and Harley Race and Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana.

Originally, United Wrestling Network was a collective of wrestling promotions who were left without a home when the NWA came under new ownership in 2012. Although the promotions who were initially affiliated have changed, the idea remained about creating local wrestling printings to feature on television.

The Inaugural United World Heavyweight Champion will be crown by an eight man tournament with talents that have yet to be announced. The brackets will be announced next Tuesday with matches kicking off on the 27th, on the pay-per-view.
