A look at the week that was for the National Wrestling Alliance including updates with Thunder Rosa who fought her first MMA Fight, we answer why is James Storm in Australia, where you can see Nick Aldis this weekend, and the NWA National Champion is working in New Japan?

The newest addition to NWA POWERRR’s roster made her debut at Combate Americas on November 8th, 2019. Thunder Rosa signed a multi-fight deal with the group on September 17th, 2019. Competing in the strawweight class (115-pounds), Rosa took a loss in her debut, losing to Nadine Mandiau by unanimous decision. Thunder Rosa recently joined the NWA POWERRR Roster where she has seemingly aligned herself with Marti Belle. Prior to her debut Rosa had been a part of Woman Of Wrestling as Serpintine and competed as Kobra Moon for Lucha Undergound. Rosa also has the distinction of winning the NWA International Tag Team Titles (previously a “males” only championship) with Holidead and defended the tag titles in Japan for Stardom. From the Combate Americas website “Combate Americas is the premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise… The Combate Americas franchise includes reality TV programming, live events, and mobile programming.” Rosa is scheduled to make her return to Japan on January 4th for Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. TJPW is a sister promotion to DDT. Thunder Rosa will also be at Lucha Brutal, Thursday, November 14th in Irving Texas

“The Cowboy” James Storm was recently in Melbourne Victoria, Australia shooting a movie. Currently, in Production in Victoria are Bloom Season 2, Clickbait, Wentworth Season Eight, and Neighbours. No word which project Storm is filming. The former NWA National Champion James Storm will also be in Hawaii on November 17th for Unify Championship Entertainment. A regional wrestling promotion that has ties to the world-famous Samoan Dynasty. There isn’t a public match announcement but the show is being taped for television.

Saturday the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis will be in Queens New York on Saturday, November 16th as part of The Big Event presented by K&S WrestleFest. Aldis will be doing photo ops and autograph signings.

Congratulations to two time NWA National Champion Colt Cabana.“Boom Boom” defeated James Storm on the second night of the NWA POWERRR TV Tapings. The match finally aired last week. Cabana has been working with New Japan teaming with Toru Yano as part of the New Japan Showdown Tour in the United States. Cabana has a history of working with New Japan through ROH.
