NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion was advertised for a show on Wednesday March 20th in Austin Texas. However the match did not happen. According to the NWA, Pro Wrestling Religion did not send full deposit nor did they book a plane ticket for Nick Aldis. The promoter was asked to make an announcement and to remove the NWA logo along with Aldis’ likeness off the poster. However that did not happen.
Nick Aldis is expected to be in New York on April 6th. Of course, April 6th is the night of the G1 Supercard. That is the event where Ring of Honor with New Japan Pro Wrestling bring professional wrestling back to Madison Square Garden. Many were hoping for the inclusion of a NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title match at MSG, but that has not come to fruition. Aldis will be a guest on 10th Anniversary show of Busted Open on Sirius XM. Nothing has been formally announced regarding the show, but because of the proximity, Aldis may play some role at the Supercard.
The Worlds Heavyweight Championship will make its premiere in the state of New Hampshire for Injustice for Brawl 2 on March 31st. Hard to believe in its 70-year existence, the Ten Pounds of Gold has never been defended in New Hampshire.
It appears that “Starrcast” has applied for the trademark Jim Crockett Promotions as wells as Ten Pounds of Gold. The company submitted the trademark for apparels, podcasts, and entertainment services.

The only announced participants for the 2018 Crockett Cup Tag Team Tournament are the War Kings, Villains Enterprises, and now the Briscoes. The brothers defeated the National Champion Willie Mack and the ROH TV Champion Jeff Cobb to punch their ticket into the tournament. It should be noted that the Villains defeated the Kingdom for the six man tag as well as defeating the Briscoes for the tag team titles. Marty Scurll is scheduled to face Aldis for the Worlds Heavyweight Championship. It is believed that with Jazz and Mack in attendance that they could end up participating on the show.
