Fade Up From Black | NWA Ten Pounds of Gold 47 (2019)

“I shouldn’t even be alive right now.” The chilling proclamation of a man who nearly lost his life in a base-jumping. Saturday, January 12th in Atlanta, PJ Black challenges for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship for Ring of Honor.

The National Treasure returned to Hollywood in May of 2018 after defending his title the People’s Republic of China. Nick Aldis offered a title shot to anyone at Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, who could last five minutes against him. “The Darewolf” answered the challenge, earning his shot.

PJ Black made his debut in Ring of Honor at Survival of the Fittest TV Taping in Columbus Ohio. He would defeat Luchasaurus to qualify for Survival of the Fittest 2018. Later that night Marty Scurll won a Six Man Mayhem match that included Black. Juice Robinson would defeat Black on the December Television Taping in Philly.

Aldis defeated “Cowboy” James Storm to retain his Championship at the NWA Pop Up Event on January 5th. Nick Aldis returned to Ring of Honor on December 14th as a spectator. He previously wrestled Christopher Daniels in ROH after he lost his Worlds Title. And he famously defended against Flip Gordon prior to the All In Pay Per View.

If successful at Ring Oh Honor, Nick Aldis will best Adam Pearce and Brent Albright’s NWA Worlds Title defenses. The Worlds Heavyweight Championship is scheduled to be defended on March 9th at World Legion Wrestling.
