Championship Wrestling from Arizona (CWFAZ), the states only professional wrestling TV broadcast, will host it’s first Phoenix area television taping on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at The World Famous Nile Theater. Bell time is set for 6pm.
“We are extremely excited to start filming at the Nile Theater,” Said Ricky Vazquez, CWFAZ Executive Producer. “Since day one fans have asked for us to expand to the Phoenix area. Our new partnerships with Cox and the Nile Theater will allow us to bring the fastest growing local television program in the Tucson area to an even larger audience. This is one giant step further to our goal of bringing pro wrestling back to local television throughout all of Arizona.”
As a member of the United Wrestling Network (UWN), the CWFAZ roster consists of several Arizona based wrestlers as well as competitors who travel in from other UWN promotions throughout the world. The main event on July 1st is scheduled to decide the United Hollywood Heritage Championship. Current Champion, “Professional” Peter Avalon will defend against Lucha Underground’s Willie Mack. Also appearing July 1st will be Tucson’s own EJ Sparks and Johnny Saovi. Tag team action with The Tribe (Navajo Warrior and Hawaiian Lion), Evan Daniels and R-Three. A woman’s match between Heather Monroe and Maserati. Others on the card include: Julius Coleman, Oliver Grimsley, Manny Lemons, Suede Thompson, Chris Strong and Alex Salyers.
